Parallel Radio Interview :

Can you tell us a bit about you?

My real name is Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo. I’m from Illovo, a small town in Durban, South Africa. I Started rapping at the age of 9 years old and was mainly influenced by TI and Lil Wayne. Ever since then I’ve been working hard and improving with each project.

How would you describe yourself?

I’d describe myself as, a very creative, passionate and mindful young man. Very goal driven, and confident because I believe in the power of the universe and, and the power of using my mind to get where I’m going.

What other career could we imagine for you?

If I wasn’t a musician, I’d still be an artist in some way because I’m a natural creative. I’d either be a director, or a graphic designer or just like a sketch artist.

Those are the things I do anyways but I happened to picked music as my main career.

What Music means to you?

Music to me is a form of expression, it’s a voice, it’s very therapeutic, it’s an instrument that helps me send a message and help others who relate and need to feel like they’re not alone.

Favorite project you worked on?

Favorite project… Without a doubt, Strings and Bling. It’s a very special project to me. Every time I listen to it, I get the same type of energy that I put into it and that’s important to me as an artist because that means I did my job well in transcribing that energy into music.

What’s your worst nightmare?

My worst nightmare is… failing at anything. I don’t ever want to fail at anything I do.

What’s your most beautiful dream?

Nasty C: My most beautiful dream is where I don’t have to worry about any of my siblings or my friends struggling for any reason. I wane see all of them all happy, every single one of them.

What were you doing Saturday night?

I was in London doing a couple of interviews and meeting up with a couple of people.

What do you have in your pockets right now?

I have my bank card, gum, a receiver and my phone.

…And a last word in French for our French readers
