Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi, I’m Senamo. I’m a Belgian rapper from Brussels. I like frappucinos, weed and Bakounine.
How would you describe yourself?
I’m really introverted. Despite this, I stay really open minded and curious. I like to observe people. I love silence as much as I love music.
What other career could we imagine for you?
Archeologist, Lawyer or astronaut. Only BIG ASS jobs. Especially being a lawyer. I’ve always liked to defend other people, always hated injustice. But here I’m. A rapper. And let’s say it isn’t bad (at all)!
What Music means to you?
Music has always played a big part in my life. I’m always surrounded by it, when I’m walking outside with my headphones or at home playing through speakers I can listen to so many different kinds of music.
My father taught me to love English punk, my mother is more into Cuban sounds and soul.
Favorite project you worked on?
My last project: « Poison Bleu ». I’ve been working with my band, La Smala for 10 years. With “Poison Bleu”, it was the first time that I had the opportunity to take every decision.
But all the projects I’ve been working on (solo or with my band as well) were good experiences, that made me grow and taught me a lot for the next ones.
Your worst nightmare? Most beautiful dream?
Worst : a world without weed and sirup.
Beautiful : a world full of weed and sirup. More seriously, my biggest dream is to be able to live from my passion and ensure that my family doesn’t need anything. And offer a Tesla to my ecologically minded mum.
I’m currently working on my second solo project…
What were you doing Saturday night?
I was probably kicking Max Dour’s ass at Tekken on PS4
What do you have in your pockets right now?
…A last word in french for our french readers?
Restez vifs et agiles.
